Silver emergency token issued in the late 18th century. This is a British sixpence coin which has been flattened. Some details of the original coin can be seen and probably identified. Both sides are stamped with the roman numerals "XII" probably indicating a value of one shilling. I have found limited information about these pieces, and have not seen another.
